Our speaker Steve Pfaff, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington will be talking about rip currents during his presentation. Rip currents kill approximately 100 people each year in the United States and account for 80% of all surf related rescues. Steve will discuss why rip currents are so dangerous, how to spot them, and what you should do if you are caught in one - or if you see someone in a rip current.

Join the squadron for one of the more relaxing cruises of the season. We will have stops in Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, Beaufort, with extended stays in Charleston and Hilton Head. In Charleston, we will be at Patriot’s Point a marina resort with hotel, pool and spa facilities with water shuttle service downtown and wonderful shopping and restaurants. We will be staying at the Harbor Town Yacht Basin in Hilton Head. Please register as soon as possible as we are limited to 8 boats in most of these resort marinas. Questions?

This is a combining of the Annual Meeting and the Change of Watch (COW) Ceremony on 9 December. The Annual Meeting is held for the election of officers, members of elective committees, and those chairpersons. The COW is a ceremony where the officers and bridge for the past year are retired, and the officers and the bridge for the new year are installed. Uniform of the Day – Class A with bow-tie, formal attire or dark suit.
The member fee is TBD. Dinner is not required for meeting attendance.
